There are 8 ways we learn, and we use these ways to process information, problem solve, and to relate to others. We learn how we learn because it makes learning enjoyable so we can concentrate longer and remember what we learn.

We learn how we learn with dance, crafts, drama, and sports. Body Smarts is the ability to use one’s hands and body to express their ideas and feelings.
We learn how we learn through singing children’s songs, writing, rhyming, presentations with music, and musical instruments. Music Smarts is the ability to perceive, transform, discriminate, and express musical forms.
we learn how we learn With Loose Parts Play Nature Smarts is the ability to know and relate well to one’s environment.
We learn about relationships with others and ourselves. People Smarts is the ability to perceive and respond to people’s feelings and non-verbal communication. Self Smarts is the ability to know one self’s feelings and wants. Everyone should feel like they belong and have natural supports.
we learn how we learn With the use of arts/crafts, maps, pictures, images, videos, and American Sign Language. Picture Smarts is the ability to perceive, depict the visual and spatial world and learn best with using imagination.
we learn how we learn is achieved with storytelling, videos, word play games, writing activities and American Sign Language. Word Smarts is the ability to speak and write language.
